Tracks
Since its birth in the Mississippi Delta, at the same time as modern dance, jazz music has always been a space for creativity and mixing. Since then, the two disciplines have rarely crossed paths, even though they have much in common, from the taste for improvisation to the spirit of freedom that runs through them.
Brahim Bouchelaghem crée « Tracks » dans le cade de dansewindows of the National Choreographic Center of Roubaix (dance for all and everywhere) and approaches jazz by imagining this piece. The piece was created during residencies in three communes of the Artois region in the fall of 2011 and inaugurated in January 2012.
Brahim Bouchelaghem reprend la pièce en 2014 sur le même principe de la danse pour tous et partout pour 4 danseurs dans une version longue.
Avec Brahim Bouchelaghem, le hip hop se confronte au jazz et à la danse contemporaine au cœur des années folles.

A rhythm is composed according to the attempts which are in turn funny, offbeat or more serious!
